Teaching Philosophy

As a teacher/coach, I am motivated by a desire to share my enthusiasm for music with my students and to inspire a sense of confidence within them to trust and believe in their own ability to grow.

I feel that learning how to bridge the gap between technique and musicianship is a crucial process. The purpose of technical proficiency is to be able to express musical ideas to their fullest potential. I will help students build a vocabulary to achieve that goal.
